Olympic Window

Here is my latest window for the Marilyn Moore boutiques. I wanted to make a delicate and quite subtle window that embraced the Olympics.  For this effect, I sewed 2100 mini cocktail stick flags onto cotton to make bunting, repetitive.... I was really inspired by Sophie Cuvelier for this window, I think her paper garlands are incredible!

The Olympics are coming to town

London is crazy at the moment with the build up to the Olympics. It's  a bit busy and stressful, but there is an excited buzz in the air as well as a lot of flags!  Here are some pictures from central London last night.

We had waited for over a month, but last week we collected the shopping we did in India from the dock! After lots of last minute stress, import drama and hiring van faff, we had the excitement of being reunited with the brilliant stuff we bought what seems like a long long time ago....

Project Streamers

I've been making crepe paper streamers like a mad woman over the last few days! They've gone into Marilyn Moore's Richmond window for their 'Fiesta' Sale theme! I added a bit of gold to bling them up today. Pretty repetitive, but therapeutic stuff.

My favourite magazine arrived with the rain! After about 6 hours riverside watching the flotilla in the pouring rain- This is the perfect warm up reward!
